' Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The Krampus outside with jolly old St Nick,

Arguing over which child they will pick;

St Nick with his gift for good girls and boys,

And a birch stick for the naughty in place of their toys.

 

This carry around effect can be presented as dark or as light and humorous as you'd like as you weave together a tale of the Krampus and Saint Nicholas.

A group of cards is spread out in front of the spectator and they are given a token (perhaps a candy cane or a chunk of coal) to place on one of the cards.  The others are gathered up and then turned over to show that they all match showing either the Krampus or St Nick . . . leaving the other one on the table the other one.

But all hope is not gone, there can still be joy in Whoville, for even if the spectator is left with the Krampus there is still time and such a thing as a Christmas miracle and good far outweighs the bad . . . leaving the spectator time to do a few good deeds to change his fate before Christmas Eve arrives.
